REDS PROFILE
Picture
THE REDS UNDER THE BED is an activist cabaret group that features infectious music and songs written and performed with gusto and black humour.

Formed in 2005, the REDS challenge some of society’s sacred cows using absurdity and insight.
THE REDS UNDER THE BED continue to explore social justice issues in a topical, non-preachy, entertaining cabaret style.

The group includes Valerie Farfalla, Susie Stack, Jacquie O'Neill and Trish Posterino.

Using keyboard, accordion, percussion, kazoo and vocals, the trio incorporates varied styles of music, from jazz to blues, Latin and music hall, to create original songs and parodies.

The women have a history of performing in musicals, jazz and cabaret.

We have surprised audiences with our catchy, thought-provoking musical cabaret at the Melbourne Fringe Festivals, Darebin Music Feasts, 3CR’s International Women’s Day, numerous other union and community events and venues such as Noise Bar, CERES, Wesley-Anne, The Glasshouse, Bender Bar and Mansfield Produce Store.
